How lucky you are to live in a technology based era where all the knowledge you could ever desire is at the touch of a computer keyboard! But, before getting started, it's BEST to understand the rigors of online learning.

IMPORTANT STEPS CONCERNING STUDYING ONLINE:

You should first research any program yourself with your parent. There are A LOT of scams artists on the web who want to take advantage of teens.

Check the accreditation standing (and accrediting organization) before applying to ANY online education organization.

Talk with your high school counselor to make sure any credit earned online will be accepted toward your diploma!

The information provided here is for informational purposes only. While we have researched each of the programs linked to our site, The Education Coffeehouse assumes no responsibility for the quality of education and/or service offered by these organizations.

E-learning does not:

Offer the immediate feedback advantages of face to face contact
Provide social interaction with peers
Offer involvement in extracurricular activities
Include a motivational plan that will keep you on track

But, it does:

Offer educational experiences led by certified teachers
Offer the opportunity to work at your pace
Remove interruptions from less than enthusiastic classmates
Create a level playing field...let's face it - your discipline and attendance records rarely follow you into the online classroom. You have no previous demons to battle.
Provide the opportunity to communicate and share ideas with classmates who may be from all parts
of the world.
